A little preview of yesterdays wedding… 🙂
A little preview of yesterdays wedding… 🙂
A few weeks ago Joe and I had the pleasure of spending the afternoon with a super sweet couple. Meet Ted and Kate. They both currently live in Chicago but are planning to get married in Kate’s home town here in Hudsonville, MI at Grace Community Church where her dad is the pastor. Kate booked me over the phone so we didn’t get the opportunity to meet until their engagement session. We immediately clicked! We had so much fun hanging out with these two… Kate wanted to get some shots at the Grand Rapids Public Museum so we started there then we headed downtown to a few urban locations.
Thanks you two for such a great afternoon! Enjoy a few of our favorites! 😉
Wow! It’s been a long time since I’ve blogged… I must admit, I’m a horrible blogger. 🙁 I’m hoping that will all soon change because I now have some new super cool branding templates which have totally streamlined the blogging process! I owe it all to a friend and colleague of mine, Dustin Francis. He is a photographer based out of Ann Arbor, MI who not only created these sleek, simple, and easy to use blog templates, but has also created some pretty amazing sharpening actions for Photoshop CS which I use on a daily basis. 🙂 Thanks so much Dustin! Now for some fun pic’s of Spencer and Julie’s Engagement session. Julie is our third “Devine” bride. We first met the Devine family back in 2004 while shooting her cousin Adelaide’s wedding. It’s been so much fun getting to know this family over the years. These two are planning a fall wedding at St Cecilia Music Center and we can’t wait- we love that venue! Thanks you guys for such a fun day.
Yesterday I had the opportunity to volunteer my time at the Buist Community Assistance center which is a local food pantry located in Byron Township. They are able to assist 225-275 families each week supplying each family with one weeks worth of groceries. In doing so, this allows the families to put the money they save towards other important obligations such as utilities, medical bills, etc. I spent the majority of my day stocking shelves, organizing donations, and sorting vegetables. So this holiday season I’m feeling very fortunate for the many blessings in my life. I have a healthy family, a husband who loves me and whom I adore, amazing talented friends, a home to keep me warm, and two jobs.. one of which is my everything. Photography allows me to celebrate with some pretty amazing people and families whom all have a special place in my heart. Ken and Jens wedding was the last wedding of our season. And I couldn’t have asked for a nicer couple and weather to end the year with. They were married at St. John Vianney Parish and ended the night with a celebration at the Eve which is located on the 4th floor of the B.O.B.
Thanks Ken & Jen, we wish you the very best! Happy Holidays and enjoy this extra long post! 🙂

So excited!! Today Joe and I picked up two paintings from one of our favorite local artists. The amazing Abigail Bradley. Earlier this year we traded services which I totally love doing and I’m SOOO pleased with the finished pieces! You must check out her work! Abbeys use of color, photo transfer and textures are simply gorgeous! Thank you so much Abbey, your friendship means the world to us – group hug. lol. 🙂
the painting on the left is named winter sky and the one on the right is spring breeze..
These two pieces I gave to my mom earlier this year for mothers day.. she is also a huge of fan of Abbeys work. 🙂
