Happy New Year! 🙂 I can’t believe how quickly this year flew by! I must admit. I wish I was better at keeping a journal. I’ve never kept a diary and don’t do much writing in my personal life, so, I often find myself freezing up in front of my computer. Plus there just never seems to be enough time in the day to get everything done. So, now that life is slowing down a bit I have every intention and high hope to care for this poor neglected blog and to add more personal posts as well! Joe and I have been so fortunate this past year with such A-MAZING clients. We feel so blessed and honored to be able to do what we love! We can’t wait to see what the new year brings!

So, with that being said. Meet Ben and Allison! This sweet couple currently lives in Chicago, IL and are planning a GORGEOUS destination wedding in Michigan this June at the Inn at Bay Harbor. We are super excited to be spending two days with them and can’t wait to document all the fun festivities they have planned. When Allison and I first started talking she knew right away she wanted to have a wintery Christmas themed Engagement Session. So, Joe and I bundled up, snow pants and all and headed to Chicago. It was a beautiful day but, a chilly 18 degrees! We took a lot of small breaks but, the cold really didn’t phase them at all… they were awesome!

Thanks you two for such a fun afternoon/evening! You guys Rock and we can’t wait for your big day!

One of their favorite restaurants and places to hang out Dunlay’s | D.O.C Wine Bar is right around the corner from their condo. And, the manager was gracious enough to let us shoot in there before they opened.








We ended the session walking along E Oak St which was lined with holiday lights- I love Christmas in Chicago!
